Floating Dryer

This method involves lifting the base material with hot air jetted out of the floating nozzles placed above and below the base material and drying the front and back surfaces of the base material.

Features

  1. The heating is performed from the front and back of the base material, achieving higher drying efficiency than that of single-sided heating.
  2. The heating decreases the roughness and air bubbles of a coated surface compared to the single-sided drying that is performed only from above the base material.
  3. No scratches on the base material because the base material can be transported in the oven without coming in contact with the guide rolls.
