How do I clean the jacket roll?
You can manually clean it with a scraper, or you can automatically clean it by using a motor to ensure safety.
What safety measures do you take to prevent entrapment?
We use area sensors and rope switches.
What is the temperature accuracy of the rolls in the width direction?
Induction-heated rolls have an accuracy of ±1 °C, whereas rolls heated with medium circulation have an accuracy of ±2 °C.
What is the display resolution for pressure setting?
Standard hydraulic equipment has 0.1 Mpa. For more accuracy, the equipment configuration should be changed.
How do you set the applied pressure?
You should manually set the pressure while viewing the load cell indicator or you can use the communication function for digital setting.
Have you ever exported manufacturing equipment for rechargeable batteries?
Yes, we have exported the equipment to Korea and China.
What is a reverse-bend mechanism?
The mechanism eliminates roll bending by applying pressure to the shaft ends of the roll and is used in, for example, a rechargeable battery that cannot have the axis cross function.
What is the axis cross function?
The function eliminates roll bending. Slightly crossing and shifting the center of the roll provides the same effects as that of a crown roll. However, the base material can be displaced sideways, for which countermeasures are necessary.
How should the roll surface hardness be determined?
We are unable to determine the hardness.
This item is know-how of manufacture held by your company and thus should be tested on a demonstration machine.
How should the roll diameter be determined?
We can calculate the deflection and strength of a roll but cannot determine the diameter.
This item is know-how of manufacture held by your company and thus should be tested on a demonstration machine.

Frequently Asked Questions about Coating Machines (Coaters)

What safety measures do you take to prevent entrapment?
We use area sensors, rope switches, and interlocks.
What is your delivery time?
The delivery time varies depending on the specifications, but is typically about 8 months (a shorter delivery time is available upon request).
What is the maximum accuracy of the runout of assembled rolls?
The accuracy is 3 μm or less as an actual value.
Can the slit die be heated?
Yes.
How do you clean the slit die?
We disassemble the slit die and then clean it.
How can I change the coating width of the die coater?
You can change the width with the spacers.
What is the maximum wet thickness for thick film coating?
The thickness depends on viscosity, but can be up to several hundreds micrometers.
What is the minimum wet thickness for thin film coating?
The thickness depends on viscosity, but can be 1 μm at the minimum.
Can existing coaters be modified?
We can replace the coaters, but we do not modify or partially change the coaters.
You are requested to provide mechanical and electrical drawings of the existing equipment for us to analyze how they fit together.

Frequently Asked Questions about Unwinder/Winder

What would be a rough estimate?
The price varies depending on the specifications. Please send us your specifications or contact us for more details.
What methods are available for tension control?
We offer full automatic control (feedback control), semi-automatic control (roll-diameter tension control), and simple winding with a torque motor.
What type of fixing methods do you use for paper tubes?
We normally use an air shaft with lugs, which appear to fix a paper tube when air is supplied into the air shaft. However, a larger paper tube is heavier. This requires more workhours for replacement. Thus, a chuck method that receives the two ends of the paper tube is also available. The disadvantage is the high cost of the machine.
What is EPC?
Edge position control (EPC) equipment is used to align the edges of the base material for rolling. The equipment is used with sensors and actuators.
Equipment to be used depends on the type and weight of the base material.
Can you change the width of the standard machine?
Yes, we can, but an additional design cost will slightly increase the cost.
Can a specific machine be added to a standard machine?

What methods are available for tension detection?
Two methods are available: using a tension detector; and controlling the speed by detecting the position of a dancer roller.
