Fountain Reverse Coater

The post-metered coating here involves, with a backup roll, a coating roll, a fountain die, and a pump, causing the base material coated using the fountain die to pass between the coating roll and the backup roll having a controlled gap between them to scrape away excess liquid.

Features

  1. Allows coating even with slurry with sedimentation properties, such as an abrasive.
  2. The film thickness is controllable by adjusting the gap between the backup roll and the coating roll.
  3. The roll has a runout accuracy of 3 μm or less.
  4. The roll gap is controlled to provide a resolution of 1 μm.
