Knife Reverse Coater
The knife reverse coater is used for thick film coating. The coating method here involves, with a backup roll, a knife roll, a coating roll, a liquid dam, and a pump, controlling the coating thickness by adjusting the gap between the backup roll and the knife roll, placing a precise coating on the backup roll, and transferring the coating to a film with the coating roll.
Features
- Thick film coating with a wet thickness of 30 to 450 µm.
- The film thickness distribution can be ±2% or less.
- The coating thickness is easily controllable by adjusting the gap between the backup roll and the knife roll.
- The method is exclusively for high-viscosity coating liquids (Coating is not available for low-viscosity liquids).
- A small amount of liquid is used, allowing easy cleaning.
- The roll has a rotational runout of 3 μm or less.
- Intermittent coating is available.
