Slot Die

The method here involves, with a backup roll, a slot die, a tank, and a pump, directly coating a base material with coating liquid supplied through the slot die (mold).
We sell the machine after you evaluate the samples prepared by our demonstration machine using an actual coating liquid.

Demonstration Machine Features

  1. The machine covers a wide range of coating thicknesses from five to several hundred micrometers.
  2. Slot die materials can be selected from SUS630, SUS316, and HPM38 depending on the conditions.
  3. Adjustable slot die groove width.
  4. The machine achieves straightness and parallelism of 3 μm or less, with a target value of 2 μm.
  5. The surface roughness is Rz 0.05 μm or less.
  6. A slot die with a width of 600 mm or less can be designed and manufactured.
  7. The piping system remains not in contact with the atmosphere. Thus, the composition of the liquid is less likely to change and is less susceptible to external disturbances.
  8. The slot die can be rotated upward and downward about the center of the roll.
